The impact of edge support provided by base layer was also shown to be significant, given the support of a 2 ft overwidth base showing the same impact of approximately 1 in. In order to verify the proposed backcalculation method, a field CRCP test section with different base types and reinforcement ratio were evaluated. As expected, the larger the lateral offset of the plate, the greater the impact on backcalculated results given the minimum error in h eff reaching 5.0% with a 4 in. According to the backcalculated results, both positive and negative temperature differentials of less than 16 ☏ had limited impact.
#Age backcalculation corrections for crack
In this paper, the backcalculaion formulas for edge-loaded CRCP with various crack spacing was proposed based on 2-D finite element analysis. Traditional backcalculation assumption of an interior-loaded infinite slab can lead to large errors in backcalculated parameters for edge-loaded continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) because of the load position and closely-spaced transverse cracks.

The estimated values are lower than those reported in previous studies. The backcalculated modulus of subgrade reaction ( k-value), elastic modulus of concrete ( E), and effective thickness ( h eff) given the deflection basin from the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing has been extensively used in evaluating the response and performance of in situ concrete pavements. The instantaneous coefficient of natural mortality (M) was estimated by empirical methods that consider the close relationship between M and the growth parameters. The growth parameters estimated for Micromesistius australis in the southeastern Pacific are different from those recorded for the southwest Atlantic and New Zealand, as they belong to different stocks. The comparison of growth parameters between the sexes by the Hotelling T 2 test and the reason of least squares, indicate a significantly higher growth for females. Based on the coefficient of determination, the sum of the squared residuals and the Akaike criterion (AIC), the most representative model of growth was the traditional von Bertalanffy. The parameter estimations were performed using a nonlinear function, and maximum likelihood, for each sex and for both sexes pooled together. In the study of growth in length, the traditional models of von Bertalanffy (VBT), the generalized (VBG), and the Gompertz (GOMP) were used. The annual formation of one hyaline and opaque ring was determined by the analysis of the otolith margin. The lengths at different ages were estimated using corrected backcalculated lengths. The age determination was made by reading annual growth increments in sagitta otoliths. 2010, vol.45, suppl.1, pp.723-735.Ī study of age, growth and natural mortality of southern blue whiting, Micromesistius australis, was conducted using samples collected at latitudes from 46ºS to 56ºS, between 19.
